Playing the course
All Somersett residents are welcome to play the Championship Country Club Course six times per year. Here’s how:
Tee times for residents are available four days in advance at (775) 787-1800, Ext 2.
Driving Range access
All Somersett residents may use the mats on the north side of the driving range at no charge.
If you would prefer to hit off the turf at the south end of the range, you MUST pay the usage fee of $10/person in the golf shop before arriving at the range.
In either case, please check-in with the range attendant upon arrival and tell him or her that you’re a resident looking to utilize the driving range. You may walk to the north end of the range, or use the shuttle service (May through October). Juniors under the age of 18 should meet with golf staff to secure privileges without parent supervision.
Golf Pro Shop
The Golf Pro Shop stocks a wide selection of golf clubs, clothes and accessories. Golf lessons are available from the Pro Shop’s instructors.
For additional information, please call (775) 787-1800.
Golf Handicap
Many golfers like to have a valid United States Golf Association handicap for golf purposes, especially if they compete at all throughout the year. In order to do this one must join a club or group that has access to this and often it can be pricey.
Somersett residents may keep their handicap at SGCC at an annual cost of just $45. Membership renewal is in March and April and residents must come in person to the golf shop to renew. Please note: Keeping a handicap at SGCC does not come with extra golf privileges.
