Summer Coordinator
The Somersett Owners Association is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Summer Coordinator to support event coordination and staff management. This dynamic role involves assisting in the planning and execution of community events, as well as providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Join our dedicated team and play a key part in creating memorable experiences for our residents.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supporting diverse recreational events.
  • Provide administrative support, including record-keeping, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Support staff management by coordinating schedules and providing training assistance.
  • Help maintain the safety and cleanliness of recreational facilities.
  • Assist in managing program supplies and equipment.
Requirements include strong organizational skills, administrative experience, and proficiency in MS Office
The starting hourly rate is $22.00 an hour. 
 
Lifeguard
Be a lifesaver this summer! Somersett Owners Association is hiring Lifeguards to ensure the safety of swimmers and provide first aid or lifesaving techniques as needed. If you're vigilant, responsible, and love working outdoors, this role is for you. Join our team and make a splash in our resort-style facilities.
  • Monitor pools to ensure rules and safety regulations are followed.
  • Administer first aid, CPR, and AED techniques as required.
  • Assist with swim lessons and ensure restricted access for residents.
Requirements: Red Cross lifeguard certifications through the City of Reno or other providers, strong swimming skills, and the ability to tread water and complete timed swims. The cost of certification is refundable upon successful completion and hire.
The starting hourly rate is $17.00 an hour. (Performance-based bonus.)
 
Head Lifeguard (Deck Supervisor)
Take your leadership skills to the next level as a Head Lifeguard at Somersett Owners Association. As the Deck Supervisor, you will oversee daily pool operations, support lifeguard staff, and ensure the safety and satisfaction of all pool users. This pivotal role is ideal for an experienced lifeguard ready to lead a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Supervise lifeguard staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and pool rules.
  • Conduct regular staff briefings and provide on-the-job training and mentoring.
  • Monitor pool operations, including water quality tests and equipment maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies and oversee the administration of first aid, CPR, and AED procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating lifeguard shifts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for pool-related inquiries and issues.
Requirements: 5 years of lifeguarding experience, leadership experience, and strong communication skills.
The starting hourly rate is $19.00 an hour.
 
Recreation Attendant

  • Greet members and assist with check-ins for golf or pool activities.
  • Sell merchandise like golf balls, sunscreen, and other essentials.
  • Maintain cleanliness in golf huts, bathrooms, and recreational areas.
  • Conduct golf course inspections and ensure tennis courts are debris-free.
Requirements: Strong customer service skills, and a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart if need be.
The starting hourly rate is $15.00 an hour.
 
Food and Beverage Attendant

Requirements: Food preparation experience, knowledge of sanitation regulations, and a friendly demeanor.
The starting hourly rate is $16.00 an hour plus tips.

Front Desk Concierge
Be the welcoming face of the Somersett Owners Association as a Front Desk Concierge! This role is ideal for individuals with excellent customer service skills and a proactive attitude. You will be the first point of contact for residents and guests, ensuring a superior experience and seamless operations.
  • Greet residents and guests with the highest level of customer service.
  • Check in residents and process program registrations and fees.
  • Assist residents with inquiries, account information, and reservations.
  • Provide new residents with necessary paperwork and guidance for facility access.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the front desk and common areas.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Sell merchandise and ensure complimentary supplies are stocked.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and customer service skills, and proficiency in office equipment and software.
The starting hourly rate is $19.00 an hour.
